‘I did it’: Woman pleads guilty to stealing baby at KNH

A woman accused of stealing a three weeks old baby at Kenyatta National Hospital last week has pleaded guilty to the offense.

The suspect, Edinah Kemunto Mabuka was arraigned at the Milimani law court on Tuesday to take plea.

However a lawyer has offered to represent pro bono and has requested the court to have her take the plea afresh.

The lawyer told court that he intends to talk to her and make her understand the legal process.

The court directed that she remains remanded at Muthaiga police stations until Friday when she will be brought back to court.
