A bill showing a customer who paid Sh1,650 for just three chapatis has gone viral on social media.
The amount was billed at Hotel La Mada in Nairobi on February 23 this year.
Usually, a piece of a chapati will cost as little as Sh10 in informal areas popularly known as kibanda and up to Sh100 in urban eateries.
But with the bill, it means the unidentified customer paid Sh550 per piece.
This left some Kenyans in shock with majority taking to social media to ventilate.
