Nasa gubernatorial candidate for Machakos county Wavinya Ndeti has yet again become the subject of memes on social media after she lost a petition challenging the election of Alfred Mutua.
In her petition, Ndeti had alleged that Dr Mutua’s election was marred with irregularities and that IEBC erroneously declared him the winner of the governor seat.
She also argued that Governor Mutua used county resources, including vehicles and funds to campaign for his re-election, contravening election laws and therefore wanted the court to nullify Mutua’s win and order a fresh election.
But on Friday, the court threw out the case and ordered her to pay Sh10 million costs of the case.
After this ruling, Kenyans on social media offered her all sorts of advise on the best course of action for her to take.
Her popular corruption of a Swahili proverb – “Yaliyo ndwele sipite” – was also revived by some of these users.
