Our client is a leading clothing manufacturing company based in Voi. The organization, which runs both a factory and a community trust delivering life skills training to the local community, is looking to recruit a Logistics & Procurement Supervisor who will be responsible for Procurement, store keeping, packing and import and export logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Finance Department on issues related to procurement, cost control and custom issues.
  • Monitor and coordinate deliveries of items between suppliers to ensure timely delivery of all items.
  • Carry out stock taking on a regular basis and reconcile physical stock.
  • Manage import /export custom documentation under EPZ conditions.
  • Ensure forward planning and preparation to ensure import of raw materials and export of final goods.
  • In charge of inventory management, demand planning, receiving of incoming stocks and control.
  • Planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating and delegating.
  • Plan for month end stock takes & ensure that all stock reports are presented to the finance department by the 1st of each month.
  • Ensure that all minimum stock levels are being followed & no stock outs are experienced that would affect the production flow.
  • Ensure proper receiving and issuing of goods from stores and relevant departments to include raw materials, packaging and finished goods.
  • Ensure control of returnable tools.
  • Create and manage the packing schedule to ensure all completed garments are received from other departments, ironed, packed and delivered on time.
  • Supervise & control the packing of all completed goods to client’s specifications to ensure that all cartons are correctly packed with the correct quantity & description of goods.
  • Ensure accurate booking of goods on client’s online portal and all relevant paperwork is prepared.

Qualifications:

  • Five or more years of logistics and management experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
  • Attention to detail, organizational and multitasking skills are essential.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
