Our client is dynamic and has trained professionals who are fully qualified to assist you with ensuring you get the best health care possible. They are looking for a Chief Pharmacist who will be in charge of leading, planning, organizing and controlling all pharmacy activities and operations in line with overall business objectives

Key responsibilities: 

  • Management- Responsible for Managing 5 stores initially and will take up the responsibility for handling 10 stores by September 2018 in Nairobi i.e to coordinate the activities between the various branches of the company.
  • Operations- Implementing the policies, processes and procedures of the Pharmacy in line with company goals i.e Monitor drugs and other medical supplies levels and initiate the procurement process.
  • Drug Management- Keep records of all drug stocks ordered, drugs issued to clients and stocks remaining & monitor storage conditions i.e. expiry status and security of the pharmaceuticals.
  • Sales- Set sales targets for the pharmacy sales staff and support the team to ensure that performance targets are met.
  • Stock Management-Shall be in charge of stock taking & procurement of pharmacy drugs and items and all other required orders within the laid procedures.
  • Customer Service- Ensure superior customer experience for all customers and that all emerging issues are well handled and in time.
  • Reports- Prepare and submit reports on daily sales undertaken and achievement to the management as required.
  • Training- Provide leadership to achieve high performance by ensuring employee development, employee engagement and performance management to deliver organization objectives and goals.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time – time.

Qualifications:

  • Must be registered with the Pharmacy and Poison Board.
  • Degree/Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
  • At least 3-5 years working experience in a similar position, preferably in a busy set up.
  • Must be computer literate and be able to manage software programs.
  • Good recording keeping and reporting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player.
  • Ability to work and deliver results with minimum supervision.
  • Customer Focus.
  • Team leadership and team spirit.
  • Result Oriented.
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail.
