Accountant Forex Bureau –Ngong Rd, Nairobi

Our client, a Forex Bureau licensed by the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) to deal in Foreign Exchange transactions, located along Ngong Rd, is looking to recruit an Accountant. The ideal candidate Must be Gujarati speaking and experience working in an Audit Firm would be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Ensures documentation of financial transactions by entering account information.
• Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
• Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
• Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
• Ensuring all accounts are balanced by end of the day.
• Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedure.
• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Secures financial information by completing database backups.

Qualifications:

• Must have a relevant bachelor’s degree.
• Must be a CPA (K) or ACCA Finalist.
• Must have 2 years’ experience having worked in an audit firm, or in an established forex bureau.
• Be a mature and presentable person.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
• High levels of energy, discipline and integrity.
• Proficient knowledge of financial systems (Excel and QuickBooks are mandatory).
