Business Analyst

An international Bank with an Office in Nairobi Kenya is seeking to recruit a dynamic Business Analyst to support the commercial team on spotting opportunities, identifying business risk and support portfolio management. The ideal candidate MUST have 3 years of relevant experience in commercial, food & agribusiness, banking or big 5 consultancy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the team with staying in tune with the selected business sectors in 9 focus countries.
• Daily search public sources for commercially relevant information.
• Daily spot and assess key business risks in the relevant sectors and countries.
• Develop a network within the bank and outside for sector information.
• Develop to the point weekly internal reporting mechanism.
• Maintain a database on prospects.
• Support the senior commercial staff with preparing presentations & client pitches.

Qualifications:

•  Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related subject.
• Ability to process daily flow of data & information into useful knowledge.
• Flexible and able to multi-task yet stay organized.
• Analytic mind yet feel for commercial reality.
• Affinity with the business world, basic knowledge of corporate financial reporting.
• Basic understanding of banking in a wholesale context.
• Excellent writing skills in English, able to make presentations in Power Point.
• Team player in a commercial setting.
