Our client’s hotel aims to attract an entirely different kind of customer base and compete against both global and regional competitors at giving refined comfort and timeless elegance. As such, they have positioned themselves differently with a focus on local business people and residents – young and upwardly mobile group whose attributes include; open-mindedness, entrepreneurial, social and fun loving. They are looking for Front Office Agent to work in Meru.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register guests and assign rooms. Accommodate special requests whenever possible.
  • Assist in pre-registering and blocking of rooms for reservations.
  • Thoroughly understand and adhere to proper credit, check cash and cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Present options and alternatives to guests and offer assistance in making choices.
  • Use suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and promote other services of the hotel.
  • Perform cashiering tasks like bills/ invoice settlement, posting charges to the guest.
  • Deal with cash and credit transactions and to ensure that any discrepancies are reported immediately.
  • Work closely with the house keeping department in keeping room status reports up.to date and coordinate requests to maintain and repair work.
  • Ensure that all confirmations are sent out by the end of the shift.
  • Be aware of all hotel availability and every opportunity to maximize room sales.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/ Certificate in Hotel Management.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • MS Office computer skills.
  • Work planning and organization skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Attention to details.
