Software Tester

Our client, a dynamic company dedicated in providing Group Accounting solutions from Sweden is looking to junior Software Tester for their Nairobi office. The ideal candidates must have at least 1year experience in software testing. Please do not apply if you do not have any experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Test case development and execution.
Writing detailed bug report.
Run regression tests.
Develop and contribute to improvement of testing and technical support team.
Proficient use of test management tools i.e. Jira, Test link.
Respond to customer technical problems via e-mail/chat / phone.
Advise customers within procedural guidelines for a complete solution to their questions.
Identify, research and provide input on unique or recurring customer problems.
Installation and set-up of ICT resources.
Configuration of switches, routers, and VPN.
Knowledge in Virtualization technologies (Xen Server, VMWare, Hypervisor).

Qualifications:

Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other related fields.
At least 1-year experience in testing.
Knowledge in scripting languages i.e. JavaScript is an added advantage.
Knowledge in test automation tools i.e. test complete is an added advantage.
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated outstanding level of professionalism in providing administrative support.
Ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, tact, and diplomacy.
Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information.
Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude.
Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
Having unquestionable integrity, self-starter, energetic and result driven.
Able to work independently and team player, on several concurrent tasks with changing priorities.
Ability to work on shift 24/7.
