Waiter / Waitress

Our client’s hotel aims to attract an entirely different kind of customer base and compete against both global and regional competitors at giving refined comfort and timeless elegance. As such, they have positioned themselves differently with a focus on local business people and residents – young and upwardly mobile group whose attributes include; open-mindedness, entrepreneurial, social and fun loving. They are looking for a Waiter / Waitress to work in Meru.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take accurate food and drinks orders.
• Approach the customer in an efficient and courteous manner.
• Check and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems.
• Arrange table settings and maintain tidy dining area.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests.
• Resolve customer satisfaction complaints immediately they arise and where necessary report to the F&B Supervisor.
• Inform guests about the day’s specials.
• Present menu, answer questions and make suggestions regarding food and beverage.
• Serve guests in an accommodating manner.
• Up-sell additional products when appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Certificate/ Diploma in Hospitality Management from an accredited institution.
• 2 years’ experience in Hospitality industry.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent sales and customer service skills.
