Year 1, 2 and 3 Teachers for a British Curriculum School – Tatu City

Are you a qualified teacher with substantial experience in teaching early learners aged 6-10 (Year 1 – 3), and well conversant with the I.G.C.S.E system?  A new and fast – paced International school is looking for you. The ideal candidate must be passionate about young children with at least 5 years of experience, with proven ability to teach ALL subjects in a Year 3 class. Experience in an International School is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create lesson plans for all subjects in the class based on your experience and the pupils’ specific needs.
• Provide a student-focused learning for the students in ALL subjects.
• Introduce interactive activities into the classroom and encourage students to vocalize their concerns and questions.
• Communicate with other team members as well as with parents about students’ progress and behaviour.
• Encourage creativity in students by organizing art and craft projects on a daily basis.
• Create a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere in the classroom.
• Listen carefully to parents’ requests and concerns and address them as quickly as possible.
• Help the children learn about the chosen topics in a playful and colourful way.

Qualifications:

• MUST be passionate about toddlers & young children and show bubbly personality.
• Must have 5 years of experience in a multi-cultural I.G.C.S.E learning set-up.
• Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
• P1 teachers with IGCSE experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Must be registered with T.S.C.
• Must have a Kenyan Certificate of Good Conduct.
• Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must express the ability to teach creatively with high presentation skills.
• Candidates with International experience will have an added advantage.
