Manufacturing Accountant – Voi Coastal Area

Our client is one of the leading ethical Clothing Factories in the world producing womenwear for export. They strive to reach the highest quality export standard and have manufactured for very well established and celebrated designer. Garments produced by the Company have been worn by Michelle Obama and their work is regularly featured in international publications. They are currently seeking to recruit an Accountant, who will be responsible for financial planning and reporting, maintaining policies and procedures for the Company to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The ideal candidate MUST have experience working in the Manufacturing sector, be Proficient in Cost and Inventory Accounting and have worked with QuickBooks and Pastel ERP.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Processing payments and cheques and making international payments which include organizing interbank transfers locally and overseas.
• Ensuring accurate and complete Reconciliations process for Cash Book, Banks, Debtors and Creditors Statements.
• Preparation of accurate monthly management reports.
• Liaising with the Finance and Operations Manager in Accounting and HR functions.
• Working hand in hand with the Procurement and Logistics Supervisors and Stores Supervisor.
• Preparation and submission of quarterly and annual returns.
• Work hand in hand with the Finance and Operations Manager on costings & forecasts.
• Ensuring that all taxation and statutory requirements are compiled within the stipulated time.
• Maintaining the company’s fixed assets register.
• Reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures.
• Analysing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing monthly budgets and actual production costs.
• Ensuring deadlines are met for all audits, licenses and insurance bonds required for an enterprise.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements and other government regulations.

Qualifications:

•  Relevant Bachelor’s degree.
• Must be a CPA – K or ACCA Finalist.
• Must be proficient in Cost and Inventory accounting.
• Must have over 5 years working experience as an Accountant.
• Must have experience working in the Manufacturing Sector.
• Must have experience working with QuickBooks and Pastel ERP
• Must be willing to work on Saturdays.
• Must be willing to work in a high-pressure environment.
• Must have excellent analytical skills.
• Must have high integrity.
