Our client, a leader in process efficiency and energy conservation for the Process Industry, with over seven decades of experience building steam engineering and control instrumentation solutions, is looking to recruit a Sales Mechanical Engineer. The ideal candidate MUST have knowledge of selling steam engineering products such as steam traps, steam accessories and boilers.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Developing action plans to penetrate new markets.
  • Conducting One-on-One reviews with all Account Executives to build more effective communications.
  • To understand training and development needs for Account Executives.
  • To provide insight for the improvement of Account Executive’s sales and activity performance.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
  • Creates and conducts proposal presentations and RFP responses.
  • Assists account executives in-preparation of proposals and presentations.
  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
  • Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.

Qualifications:  

  •  Mechanical engineer with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Must have working knowledge of Mechanical Calculations.
  • Must have knowledge of selling Steam Engineering products.
  • Must be based in Nairobi.
  • Must be flexible to travel intensively to cover customer base within Kenya and neighbouring countries.
  • Must have a good customer base for Mechanical Products.
  • Must be able to read mechanical, plumbing and control drawings and coordinate with written specs.
  • Must have great communication and computer skills.
