Our client, owners of a high-end camp in the Masai Mara, is looking for a dynamic and hands-on Operations Camp Manager. The successful candidate will streamline and control all aspects of Operations at the camp and will be responsible to keep the Camp running in accordance to the outlined SOPs. The Operations Manager is the focal point for Staff and Facilitators. The candidate MUST have experience dealing with high-net-worth clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Logistics and assignments, Organising Drivers and Guides and stocking vehicles.
- Get Meal Platforms set up in time for the meals and assessing quality of food and service.
- Establish standards to satisfy all guest requests quickly and effectively.
- Keep all the Guest issues and concerns rectified and documented.
- Organize Arrivals, Departures and Special Occasions.
- Room assignments and maintaine proper inventory of the Camp.
- Organise and Manage extracurricular activities for Guests through the Facilitators.
- Work with Housekeeping and Maintenance to see Cleanliness at the Camp is perfect.
- Compile, record and resolve Maintenance issues.
- Maintain and order stock supplies and keep supplies stocked throughout the Camp.
- Keep current daily attendance and off days for all staff, manage leave requests.
- Ensure Staff Welfare and compile, report and fix any issues that arise.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience of at least 5 years in the hotel industry, preferably in Guest Relations at a Management level.
- Fluency in Swahili and English, both verbal and written.
- Excellent Organizational skills and problem solver.
- Able to organize and motivate staff members.
- Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook a must.
- Understand and carryout guest’s needs.
- Work with minimal supervision.
