Land Supervisor-Turkana, Kenya

Our client, a professional services business that delivers projects, provides expertise in engineering, procurement and construction, is looking for a Land Supervisor in Turkana. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all land-related matters in Turkana and will be the key contact in the Field for the consultants working on Land acquisition and resettlement plans. He/She will have a dual reporting line – direct line to the Field Social Performance Manager and functional reporting line to the Project Land and Resettlement Manager based in Nairobi.

Key Responsibilities
• Resolving legacy land issues with the communities and Turkana County Government on areas such as rates payable
• Responsible for all matters dealing with the Community Land Committees.

Qualifications/skills:
• Bachelors in Business Administration from a recognized university
• Minimum 3-5 years of ’ experience in a similar role
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong preference for someone from Turkana or familiar with Turkana
• Should have dealt in the past with community land and/or government compulsory acquisition of land as well as resettlement
