Our client, a professional services business that delivers projects, provides expertise in engineering, procurement and construction, is looking for a Local Content Advisor for its offices in Nairobi. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the Technical teams as well as FEED contractors to ensure an optimised local content plan is available to meet Government of Kenya as well as Turkana County Government Local Content requirements. The Local Content Advisor will report to the Local Content Manager in Nairobi.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for identifying and getting business cases agreed for opportunities to promote local content – these will range from formal capacity building to how certain work can be contracted for
• Support the Local Content Manager in Kenya on required engagement on the prospective Local Content Regulations in Kenya as well as other capacity building initiatives
Qualifications/skills:
• Bachelors in Business in the related subject
• Have a technical background as well as business development
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role
• Swahili & English fluent
• Excellent communication skills
• Will be required to travel regularly to work with the teams in London and Turkana
