Team member, Preparation – Nairobi

Manufacturers of high-end bags & accessories with its headquarters in Karen, are looking to recruit a Preparation team member. The preparation team member will require the skills and experience necessary for construction of canvas & leather bags and small accessories. The ideal candidate Must have experience working with the Cylinder Arm Sewing machine.

Key responsibilities:
• Ensuring the garment is well pressed.
• Keen on straightening the grain while cutting.
• Responsible for gluing the leather and canvas
• Operating and managing the cylinder arm sewing machine well.

Qualifications:
• More than two Years’ experience in the textile manufacturing industry i.e Canvas and Leather
• Must have Technical training from a relevant Technical college.
• Must have experience working with the Cylinder Arm Sewing machine.
• Must be willing to commute/relocate to Karen
• Must work with great care and attention to detail, with the highest and most consistent standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
