Our client, in Nairobi, is looking for a qualified Sous Chef to be based in Nairobi at her home who will employ culinary skills.
Successful candidate Must have experience following the Executive Chef’s specifications, guidelines and Must have prior experience working in as a Sous Chef.

Key responsibilities:
• Help in the preparation and design of all food and drinks menus
• Produce high-quality plates both design and taste wise
• Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets her quality standards
• Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
• Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and the Family
• Ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen
• Controlling food cost
• Live in position
• 6 days a week and 1 off day

Qualifications:
• Relevant Diploma degree Hospitality or Catering
• Must have a minimum experience of 1 year as a Chef
• Must have a great understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Must be good with Indian and Italian cuisines
• Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
• Flexibility: be able to jump in when required to do something else in the house
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Have excellent English communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Computer literate
