Couple’s make-up turns fatal as estranged wife is found dead in hotel room

Police in Buruburu are holding a man in connection to the death of his estranged wife last week inside a hotel located on Jogoo road.

Mr Emmanuel Owuor is being linked to the death his wife Grace Adhiambo in a room at the GNK Hamza Hotel on February 7, 2019.

According to the police, the two were meeting for the first time since their separation.

The suspect was arrested a day after the incident.

Lead investigator in the case Joseph Wanjohi told a Makadara court on Friday that the suspect booked a room for the two but later left, leaving the woman behind.

Love-related murders have been on the rise in the recent past. Two weeks ago businesswoman Ms Mary Wambui was murdered and her body dumped in a dam in Juja.

Police say Ms Wambui was murdered in a suspected love triangle.
