Draughtsman – Tekla

 

Our client, a well-established Steel Company in East and Central Africa dealing with design, fabrication and erection of all types structural steel works is looking for an experienced Draughtsman. The ideal candidate Must have 5 -7 years’ experience in detailing, checking of fabrication drawings for structural steelwork for industrial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draught detailed fabrication and general assembly drawings.
• Use TEKLA to prepare fabrication drawing.
• Help design products with engineering and manufacturing techniques.
• Add details to architectural plans from their knowledge of building techniques.
• Work from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers.
• Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures for new products.
• Work under the supervision of engineers.

 Qualifications:

•  Must have a bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Engineering.
• Must have 5-7 years’ experience in detailing, checking of fabrication drawings for structural steelwork for industrial buildings.
• Must have experience using Autocad.
• Must have experience of working in a steel fabrication office.
• Knowledge of Tekla will be an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of structural drafting processes and procedures in a steel fabrication company.
• Be able to work with minimal supervision.
