The former Nairobi deputy governor Jonathan Mueke and Nairobi speaker spoke against the referendum debate warning that should State officers be drawn into the ongoing politicking, this would derail the government’s development agenda.

“The big four could continue if we have a cabinet that is not political, a cabinet that is working on delivering the president’s agenda,” said Mueke.
Kalonzo, who is rooting for an expanded Executive in the Constitutional review process, hinted that should President Kenyatta be interested in another term in officer, he (Kalonzo) would support him.
Speaking on Citizen TV’s Day Break show, the two leaders insisted that the Constitution in clear on the presidential term limits, adding that the law should be the guiding principle.
The Wiper leader’s remarks have been met with mixed reactions, with a majority of leaders opposing his sentiments.
