City cops seize illegal fuel hidden in Ruai house

Detectives on Tuesday seized several litres of illegal petroleum hidden in a house in Ruai, Nairobi County.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has said that the officers confiscated the products hidden in Thuita farm.

Three suspects, Patrick Kinunthia Nyambura, Nicholas Ngatia Gunia and George Wanjogu, were arrested during the raid.

Police are processing them before they are arraigned in court.

Two weeks ago, detectives from the Anti-Counterfeit Agency (ACA) on Thursday arrested five people who were operating an illegal fuel depot in Kariokor.

The agency said the facility was disguised as a garage.
