Our client, a dynamic family-owned Meat processing & Food distribution company, which has been established in 1997 is looking to recruit a Retail Sales Key Account Manager based in Nairobi. The ideal candidate Must have a wealth of experience distributing to top retail chain FMCG products. Candidates with cold chain management experience (ice-cream, cheese, yoghurt and meat produce) will have a distinct advantage. He/ She MUST be a salesperson with an excellent track recording managing a dynamic team across the country and supporting retail promotions and ensuring targets are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service retain & grow existing customer base & drive business growth through business planning.
- Manage select key accounts.
- Maintain a comprehensive & up-to-date knowledge & understanding of principals’ product portfolio
- Identify business development opportunities in existing & new product lines to expand the business
- Consistently meet or exceed established sales targets.
- Provide technical, market and strategy support.
- Create and introduce innovative market solutions for established and new product portfolios.
- Develop supply chain strategies and manage existing delivery agreements.
- Establish, promote and maintain strong relationships between the company and the customer base.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- Must have 4 years dynamic distributing and retail chain experience.
- Candidates must apply with a CV indicating their notable achievements.
- Must have knowledge of supply chain management.
- Successful retail key account management.
- Candidates must understand the retail cycle.
- Excellent interpersonal, managerial and communication skills
- Attention to detail and results oriented.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Candidates must be willing to travel.
