Luo elders oppose cremation of Ken Okoth

A faction of Luo Council of Elders led by their chairman Nyandiko Ongadi has opposed cremation of the late Kibra MP Ken Okoth.

Mr Ogadi argues that the move is against Luo traditions.

Reports indicate that the MP had chosen cremation as his final destination. His mother and wife are said to have okayed his wishes.

The MP died last Friday from cancer.
