Our client, a high-end gym & spa start-up is looking for an experienced Operations Manager who will implement and drive an efficient, measurable and credible customer service culture within their gym & spa. The successful candidate will be tasked to uphold required operating and brand standards and to ensure a safe, clean, hygienic and optimal functioning gym in the most cost-effective manner. He/she Must have at least 5 years’ of managerial experience in well-established gym/spa. Candidates with international experience will have a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing clear internal & external communications throughout the gym according to brand standards
  • Managing, implementing and monitoring brand standards
  • Managing supplier relationships
  • Managing of relevant budget expense control and assisting with Capex control
  • Managing and leading the front of the house
  • Driving member and staff satisfaction/initiatives
  • Maintaining quality facilities and equipment
  • Managing Health & Safety Auditing

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
  • Experience working in a high-end gym/spa
  • Proven experience in forecasting, budgeting, P&L is required.
  • Advanced knowledge in excel
  • Good HR knowledge in terms of, Performance Management, Recruitment, Coaching and Training
  • Good knowledge of excellent customer service principles
  • Basic understanding of management principles
  • Good knowledge of basic preventative maintenance and implement strategies
  • Pro-active
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to deal with pressure
  • Must be willing to work flexible days and hours
