Accounts Receivable Accountant – Nanyuki, Kenya.

Our client a conservancy north of Nairobi is looking for a qualified Accounts Receivable Accountant. The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Commerce/ CPA-K/ ACCA and willing to work in Nanyuki. He/She will be responsible for accurate and effective management of accounts receivable ledgers, enforcing all process, policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain debtors book inclusive allocation of receipts, remittances, statements & withholding taxes
• Conduct appropriate written and telephonic correspondence and follow-ups with customers.
• Preparation of the monthly age analysis and reconciling the control account to the age analysis.
• Reconciliation of all inter-company debtor’s accounts.
• Preparing monthly customer statements of accounts and timely submissions to customers
• Carry out thorough daily night audits on revenue generating units to ensure completeness.
• Provide staff deductions to the Payroll accountant
• Annual audit preparation.
• Maintain a filing system for account receivable records.
• Ensure effective debt collections.

Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com)/ CPA (K) or ACCA
• Must have above 3 years’ experience in a busy working environment.
• Good understanding of IFRS, local tax regulations and statutory financial accounting and reporting.
• Must be detailed oriented and possess good communication skills.
• Good knowledge of relevant accounting systems and reporting tools.
• Proficiency in Sunsystems and Pay master will be an added advantage.
