Our client, a dynamic Pan African Technology Company with a vision of building a network of co-location data centers, is looking to recruit a Country General Manager to be based in Abuja, Nigeria. The successful candidate MUST have an excellent background working in the technology sector & willing to work in a start-up environment. The position will report directly to the Group CEO & he/she will be responsible for strategy, competitive analysis & growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build & maintain relationships with key Account decision-makers.
- Effective communicate vision & strategy to customers, staff, suppliers & other stakeholders.
- Recruit, motivate, develop & mentor the team.
- Establish the KPI’s for the team and respond to market trends & changes.
- Oversee complex sales negotiation, customer presentation & close deals.
- Resolve channel conflict & drive collaboration amongst other regions & national Datacenter.
- Creation of 2 -3-year Midmarket strategic plan for the Region through cross-functional partnership.
- Liaise with large institutional investors to create a pipeline of investors.
- Oversee clear regular reports to the management team on performance to budget, cash flow projections & risk.
- Oversee strategic improvements to global operations.
- Oversee risk management, legal activities and all audit guidelines.
- Own, manage & grow the P&L for the Group.
Qualification:
- Must have an education background in Technology.
- Must have an MBA or relevant Masters.
- Relevant documents to work in Nigeria.
- Must have a background in direct sales or business development leadership role in Technology.
- Excellent understanding of macro trends in cloud & telco ecosystems.
- Strong cross -functional & multi-region operating experience with relationship focus.
- Strong negotiating & team-building skills.
- Creative, flexible, innovative & energy supplier.
- Ability to travel domestically & internationally.
