Our client, an International NGO registered in Kenya is looking to recruit an Obstetrician / Gynaecologist. The ideal candidate must have a master’s in medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. They are looking for an Obstetrician/ Gynecologist to provide balanced, evidence-based medical care to clients. Candidates should be registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioner’s & Dentists Board and have a current private practicing license.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Explain procedures & discuss diagnostic results/ prescribed treatments with the clients & attendants.
  • Work with Quality Department & Regional Medical Development team to strengthen services.
  • Drive the growth & expansion of the scope of services within the department.
  • Support medical education as part of continuing professional development services within the organization.
  • Admit clients under his/her care whenever indicated.
  • Ensure proper use & maintenance of all equipment & assets in the Obstetrics & Gynecology unit.
  • Ensure clients’ medical records are completed on time & also update the progress notes in time.
  • Conduct periodic general & Obstetrics/ Gynecology health-related talks to enhance healthy living.
  • Ensure implementation of all approved policies, procedures, rules, regulations, protocols etc.
  • He/she will be responsible for all emergencies in the Nursing home.

Qualifications:

  • Masters in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from recognized University.
  • Must have Specialist recognition by the Kenya Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists’ Board.
  • Registered, licensed & retained by the Kenya Medical Practitioners’ & Dentists’ Board with the current private practicing license.
  • Must have at least two years of post-graduate working experience.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills, attention to detail & experience with computer applications.
