A dynamic Fintech Company providing credit services to SME’s is currently seeking to recruit a Learning/Instructional Designer. The successful candidate will use systemic methodologies to design and develop instructional content, experiences, and other solutions to support the acquisition of new knowledge & skills by 30,000 + active customers. He/she will produce and distribute creative, engaging, and cutting-edge teaching methods that suit a wide array of customers and the various ways in which they learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support strategic direction for the Knowledge and Skills Training Programme.
- Work with Subject Matter Experts to identify and describe target population characteristics
- Contribute to design, brainstorming, idea generation sessions.
- Define & sequence the instructional content & strategies.
- Design a curriculum for digital & analog learning.
- Plan “quality first” teaching to reduce learning gaps & meet the needs of our diverse customer base.
- Develop course framework, storyboards etc. and all instructional materials, including presentation materials, participant guides, handouts, and job aids or other materials.
- Produce training content, which is well-researched, challenging, engaging, and critically, interactive.
- Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods.
- Effectively collaborate with Product, Technology & Marketing Teams to determine the best content.
- Ensure design SLAs are met.
- Evaluate training, including assessing what was learned & whether the learning solution led to measurable behaviour change.
- Maintain project documentation, course folders and workflow using relevant internal tools
- Coach/mentor within your domain when required.
- Remain abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the digital learning fields.
Qualifications:
- Must have a degree in Instructional Design/Educational technology/UX, ETDP/Technology or related field.
- Must have at least 3 years of working experience in a product-oriented company.
- Must have at least 3 years’ experience in a digital learning environment.
- Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
- Lesson and curriculum planning skills.
- Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard.
- Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts.
- A willingness to learn and a focus on continuous improvements.
- Passion for storytelling & financial inclusion.
- Team management experience desirable.
- Able to co-ordinate projects and project teams.
- Ability to work in a highly pressurized and deadline-driven environment.
