Our client, a world-leading chemical and food ingredient distributor, is looking to recruit a Procurement & Imports Controller. The ideal candidate MUST have experience in a similar position in the FMCG. She/he will run procurement/stock reports to ascertain stock requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Run procurement/stock reports to ascertain stock requirements to avoid stock out position.
- Submit enquiries to suppliers and upon receipt of pro forma invoice prepare & submit Declaration Form.
- Prepare documentation to facilitate the payment of marine insurance & submit for authorization & payment.
- Prepare supplier purchase orders within 24 hours.
- Ensure all data as per the supplier order confirmation is correct.
- Follow up of estimated time of delivery and advise Commercial Manager of any delays.
- Request shipping documents from suppliers.
- Preparation of customs payment requests with all supporting documents for authorization & payment.
- Process and coordinate sample orders with the suppliers.
- Accurately maintain Masterfile data.
- Ensure the accuracy of transaction processing & reconciliations.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Purchasing & Supplies Management.
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role and in FMCG.
- Must have excellent organizational, planning/logistics and administrative skills.
- Excellent computer literacy skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and to tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Have analytical skills.
- Accounting experience in stock management/control.
