Junior Accountant – Nairobi, Kenya.

Our client, a Forex bureau located in Ngong road, Nairobi is seeking the expertise of an Accountant to work in the Back-Office to deal in foreign exchange and reconciliation. The successful candidates Must have 1 years’ experience in Accounting. Additional working experience in a Forex bureau will be an added advantage. The ideal candidates Must be Punjabi/ Gunjarati/Hindi/Arabic speaking

Key Responsibilities:

Ensuring all accounts are balanced by the end of the day.
Ensuring that staff is paid on time- Statutory deductions.
Order a supply of cash to meet daily needs.
Identify transaction mistakes when debits and credits do not balance.
Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawers at ends of shifts, and calculate daily transact.

Qualifications:

Must have a relevant bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
Must be a CPA or ACCA finalist.
Must be willing to work on weekends.
Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
Must have 1- 2 years of experience.
Proficient knowledge of financial systems (Excel and Quick books are mandatory).
Ability to work flexible hours.
Must be Islamic, Gujarati, Punjabi speaking.
Must be a good Team player.
