Research Consultant – Nairobi, Kenya.

Our client, an International NGO registered in Kenya is looking to recruit a Research Consultant. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a research proposal, designing questionnaires for surveys, analyzing the results, writing reports, making recommendations based on the research findings and presenting the results to the client.  A Master’s in Public Health, Epidemiology or Biostatics will be mandatory. He/she Must have at least 2 years’ proven experience working as a consultant in the Research / Monitoring and Evaluation field, ideally within the Reproductive Health sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contact potential or existing customers to inform them about a product or service using scripts.
• Develop a research proposal.
• Develop data collection tools.
• Lead recruitment of data collectors.
• Lead training of data collectors and data collection.
• Lead data analysis.
• Prepare a research report.

Qualifications:

• Masters in Public Health, Epidemiology or Biostatics.
• At least 2 years’ experience working in Research or Monitoring and Evaluation field required.
• Must demonstrate experience handling multiple projects in the research and M&E field.
• Must apply with a well detailed C.V highlighting relevant project experience.
• Experience working for I/NGO’s in health-related fields required.
• Experience coordinating and conducting training, fieldwork and logistics for research and monitoring projects.
• Good understanding of and exposure to statistical software e.g. SPSS, R or STATA.
• Proficient in Microsoft office program.
• Experience in conducting both quantitative and qualitative research.
