Marketing Officer – Nairobi, Kenya.

Our client, the leading plastic packaging manufacturer in East Africa, is looking to recruit a Marketing Officer who will be responsible for all marketing activities in the company. The ideal candidate MUST have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role. He/she Must have strong communication skills & sales acumen.

Key Responsibilities :

• Research and analyze market trends, competitor offerings, new packaging trends in the market and other information that affects marketing strategies.
• Use research findings and analysis to provide direction to the Head of Sales (Project Manager or Head of Innovation) regarding marketing initiatives, new products or services.
• Identify areas for improvement in product offerings, sales tactics, marketing strategy, and promotional activities.
• Coordinate marketing initiates and campaigns with Head of Sales, Head of Innovation, external agencies and/or other departments.
• Maintain a marketing budget and ensure all marketing activities are cost-effective.
• Monitor marketing and sales performance and adjust strategies as needed.
• Coordinate quarterly newsletters published on the company’s website (drafting, reviewing and publishing).
• Coordinate updates to the company’s website.
• Prepare bi-weekly updates on social media.
• Prepare weekly management updates.
• Ensure new brand guidelines are followed internally and in external communication.
• Adhere to and implement all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications :

• Must have at least 2 years’ experience as a Marketing Officer & knowledge of branding.
• He/She should have strong communication skills and sales acumen.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Good team player who is energetic & results-oriented.
• He/she should be proactive with the ability to work independently.
• Computer-literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
