Head of Sales (Hospitality) – Nairobi, Kenya.

Our client, a company selling Hospitality amenities, is looking for a Head of Sales for its offices in Nairobi. The successful candidate will be responsible to oversee the sales and look for business opportunities with hotels, restaurants, churches, hospitals, serviced apartments and NGOs. He/she will also maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, guidance, researching and recommending new products & services. Gujarati and Hindu speaking an added advantage. HORECA experience is a MUST!

Key Responsibilities:

Identify business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry.
Manage, control and motivate the sales team to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved and monthly sales target and KPI target are delivered.
Sending targets set for each month to the sales team.
Conduct sales & customer service training to junior sales staff.
Daily reports from the sales team to be reviewed thoroughly.
Conduct regular sales and business reviews to evaluate the sales performance of each sales staff member.
Checking the quantities of goods in stock before confirming an order to the client.
Daily updates of the meetings with clients to be sent to the Business head and update the CRM/SAP System.
Keeping up to date with competitor’s products & prices. Feeding future buying trends back to the department head.

Qualifications:

Bachelors’ degree in any relevant related field.
At least 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the HORECA sector.
Excellent organizational skills organized with the ability to multitask.
Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to use technology.
Excellent management skills with the ability to think analytically and work under pressure.
Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate with people from all walks of life.
Good report writing and presentation skills on Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other platforms.
