Our client, a global NGO with a mission to support the building of businesses throughout Africa and South Asia to create jobs & make a lasting difference is looking to recruit an Investment Associate. The position will be based in London, UK and the successful candidate will report directly to the Manager. He/she Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with DFI ( Development Financial Institute ) in Africa.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analysing new trade supply chain finance opportunities against the mandate.
- Coordinate, structure, write and present credit papers & investment committee memos.
- Complete due diligence process encompassing issuer, industry and economic analysis for a range of financial institutions.
- Review legal documentation.
- Responsible for writing investment proposals & working with internal teams to ensure all information relevant to the deal is captured.
- Project managing & coordinating internal & external stakeholders.
- Contribute to Country & program strategies by collecting market data and ad-hoc analysis.
Qualification:
- Must have a relevant bachelor’s degree.
- Candidates with CFA, ACA, CITF or MBA will have added advantage.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience within Trade Finance or Supply chain Finance.
- Excellent credit analysis skills & ability to analyse FI & corporate financial statements.
- Must have an excellent ability in writing Investment Proposals.
- Active interest in investing in developing countries & understanding emerging market environments.
- Excellent knowledge of indirect lending, SME lending and Microlending.
