Kenyan musicians are struggling to attract viewership on YouTube as compared to their colleagues from Tanzania and Nigeria. No Kenyan artist made it to the top ten list of the most viewed sub-Saharan based artists on YouTube in 2021, according to the statistics released by the media channel. Meanwhile, seven Nigerians were ranked in the top 10 slots, with the remaining three slots shared by two Tanzanians and a Congolese.
