Police in Ndhiwa have arrested a woman who is reported to have assaulted and burnt another woman with hot water in a suspected love triangle. Ms Divon Atieno Otieno, had visited her boyfriend identified as Mr Antony Kinyua an officer attached to Mirogi police post but was found in the house by his wife known as Ms Francisca Gatuari. At the time, Mr Kinyua had rushed to a nearby shopping center and left behind the girlfriend preparing for breakfast in the kitchen. “Police constable Antony Kinyua reported that he woke up in the morning and went to buy milk at the nearby shop leaving behind his girlfriend who had spent the night with him at the house boiling water in readiness for preparation of tea,” the report read in part. The police report revealed that Ms Gatuari did not inform her husband that she would be visiting him and she was planning to surprise her. When she arrived in the house she was shocked to find another woman busy washing utensils inside the kitchen which led to a commotion. “It is then that the said girlfriend poured the hot water on the officer's wife causing serious burns all over her body,” the report further read.
