A man caused a scene at the commissioning of the Thiba Dam in Kirinyaga County after he interrupted President William Ruto's speech. "Mr President I have a covid-19 vaccine," the man shouted as the crowd burst into laughter. "Eeeh! Sawa sawa. Tutaongea na yeye tujue kama ako na hiyo ujuzi tumsaidie. (It's okay, we will talk with him and see whether he has the expertise then help)," President Ruto said. The commander-in-chief made an entrance for the first time in a Kenya Air Force military chopper for the event. In June, the dam whose holding capacity is 15.6 million cubic metres, was pumping two million cubic metres of water to the Mwea rice irrigation scheme but this is expected to increase significantly owing to its full capacity. During the burial ceremony of Dp Gachagua's brother, an elderly woman caused a scene while the Head of State was delivering his speech. “Help me…Help me… please help me!” she shouted before she collapsed on the ground. The president responded by saying he would attend to her later. “Mama Rachel (the First Lady) is here. She will attend to her. It’s okay. You will be sorted,” the president before making his speech. I voted for the president and that’s why I am asking for help,” she told the media.
