Mr Omanga says medical records show the girl had been abused by her parent. The police boss added the man is a suspected serial child abuser and plans were already underway to arraign him in court on Monday, December 5, 2022. The matter was first reported to the police by a woman who was taking care of her child inside the same ward where the incident happened. “The man told police she had headed to his home to get money and came back late in the night and made a request that he is allowed to spend his night at the facility,” he said. It has also emerged that the man was living with his daughter after he went separate ways with his wife. Currently, the minor is kept at a safe house after she was rescued by a team led by Kakamega County Director for Children Services identified as Mr Geoffrey Musoko. "We received the police report and after examination, it was established that she was defiled. She is under psycho-social support because she is traumatised," Mr Musoko said
