A leading Automotive Company in Kenya with a variety of Brands is looking to recruit a Branch Manager to head one of their Brands. The success candidate will develop and execute branch strategies and offer leadership to motivate and support the team to deliver excellent and sustainable results and consistently achieve the branch targets (Vehicle sales, service and parts). The ideal candidate Must have 10 years’ experience in Automotive Sector including commercial vehicles with at least 5 years in Senior Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the branch strategy to support the achievement of the overall Brand Strategy on increased sales, profitability and market share.
- Supervise the sales, parts, and service team in the branch to ensure the team is motivated and highly performing.
- Oversee effective management and control of financial expenditure at the branch for enhanced branch profitability.
- Identify business opportunities for the branch to increase the Hino sales and market share.
- Network with key stakeholders to promote branch services and identify business opportunities for various customer groups – individuals, SME, Corporate/Fleet and Government / Tender/UN.
- Monitor the performance of the 3Ss (sales, parts and service) against the set targets, report on, and develop plans to address any gaps identified.
- In collaboration with Training and development team ensure the branch has the required competencies at all levels to ensure the provision of quality services in vehicle sales, service and parts.
- Coordinate the collection of information on competitor activities to ensure the availability of information required to develop market penetration strategies on vehicle sales, service and parts.
- Be vigilant about any material competitor changes, impact on business and appropriate counter measures.
- Develop and implement aggressive marketing strategies and sales promotions to increase Brand market share in the Nairobi region and environs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field from a recognized University.
- Must have 10 years’ experience in automotive sector including commercial vehicles with at least 5 years in senior management.
- Strong interpersonal skills including ability to promote ‘win-win’ outcomes.
- Ability to listen and interact meaningfully with people from across the social spectrum, from technicians to CEOs.
- Energetic, versatile and enthusiastic with ability to motivate team.
- Expertise and experience in budgeting and cost management.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and professional standards.
- Warehouse and inventory management skills.
- Product knowledge.
- Performance management skills.
- Customer management skills.
- Knowledge of EHS policies & practices.
