Our client, a well-known and successful automotive group, committed to delivering outstanding customer service, is seeking an intelligent, professional and dynamic Sales Manager to join their business. The desired candidate will develop and implement sales strategies for sales to Government, Tender, UN and Fleet customers. He/she will ensure achievement of budgeted sales targets. 7 years’ experience in the Automotive Industry is desired,3 of which should be at managerial level. Fleet sales experience will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Formulate action plans to achieve & exceed budgeted sales targets, revenues and profits.
  • Preparation of sectional budgets and monitoring resource utilization.
  • Monitor and coordinate credit management to forestall bad debts.
  • Contract preparation and closing of deals in a timely manner to ensure fleet contracts are secured.
  • Manage and coordinate tender document acquisition, proper preparation and submission in a timely manner to secure contracts.
  • Create & maintain a comprehensive customer database by ensuring customer information is correctly captured & recorded.
  • Scan through national and county government budgets to determine vehicle purchase requirements.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive service delivery.
  • Building and forging lasting customer relationships through wide and proactive networking.
  • Ensure high levels of customer delight through proactive complaint handling.
  • Provide feedback on product specifications and any required improvements on existing products.
  • Forge and maintain close working relationships with other internal teams for smooth customer service delivery.
  • Proactive review of internal processes & SOP’s for timely and delightful customer service delivery.
  • Preparation of various internal reports and submission within set timelines.
  • Prospect and propose corrective measures to enhance securing more fleet business
  • Government, UN& Fleet sales overall results; daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual & annual performance reviews.

Qualifications:  

  • A bachelor’s degree in sales/marketing/business or Engineering. A master’s degree will be an added advantage.
  • Must have experience in the Automotive Industry.
  • A clean driving license with ability to drive both manual & auto transmission vehicles.
  • Hands on approach, results driven & pleasant personality.
  • Strong desire & passion for customer service.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications software packages.
  • Ability to create win –win situation in conflict resolution.
  • Ability to work under pressure when necessary.
