Truckloads of anti-riot police were deployed in Nairobi’s city centre on Tuesday ahead of the planned protest by opposition leaders to the head office of the electoral commission.

Nasa leaders are expected to lead their supporters  in demonstrations against electoral officials.

The protest is meant to force the resignation of electoral commission CEO Ezra Chiloba and 10 officials whom the coalition claims bungled the August 8 presidential poll.

On Tuesday, police in anti-riot gear camped at strategic locations within the city centre. Others ringed the Anniversary Towers, the head office of IEBC.
