A ruling by High Court judge George Odunga declaring the appointment of constituency returning officer and their deputies illegal has elicited varied reactions from Kenyans online.
Judge Odunga on Wednesday found that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission did not follow the law while appointing the poll officials.
However, the judge declined to quash the gazette notice on the appointment of the election managers.
Kenyans on Twitter had mixed reactions on the impact of the ruling on the presidential election scheduled for Thursday.
Iko problems, Justice Odunga no one was legally appointed as a returning officer, Meaning no one shall legally declare results.

Now that "Justice Odunga" has said ROs appointment was illegal, those voting tomorrow, will you take your votes to Bomas of Kenya direct?

The ruling by Justice Odunga shows that the written script continues to be read. Ruling by CJ Maraga won't be a surprise either.

Since Justice Odunga has not ordered for degazzettement of the RO's, the elections are still on
