3 Boiler Technicians

Our client, a leading facilities management company based in Nairobi is looking to recruit 3 Boiler Technicians to ensure effective, safe and reliable supply of steam to the manufacturing production lines. The ideal candidate must have technical experience working in manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise all aspects of boiler operations during assigned shifts & provide direction to lower level plant operators.
Ensure Boiler is operated in a safe, efficient & economical manner.
Ensure reliable operational records are maintained for historical purposes.
Perform & evaluate water analysis tests and proper treatment of boiler water.
Relieve water treatment/Plumbing staff.
Maintain equipment uptime (adherence to PPM program).
Complete work’s orders within required SLA based on priority matrix.
Carrying out frontline reactive/corrective repairs.
Responding to breakdowns.
Diagnosing equipment faults and implement corrective actions.
Daily inspection of Boiler related plant.
Monitoring of Boiler systems to ensure required HSE standards.
Cost awareness and participate in cost reduction programs.
Ensure maintenance best practice applied taking OEM requirements into account.
Manage warranty repair claims and assets record.
Oversee sub-contractor service & performance.
Keeping workshop clean and tidy.
Ensure compliance with all EHS legislation and client regulation and procedures.
Provide support and other Technical services.

Qualifications:

Must have a Diploma in Engineering.
Must have Craftsman’s Certificate in Building structure & Utilities maintenance.
Must have training/study of electrical systems.
Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
Must have proven knowledge of local HSE standards and regulations.
Must have HSE compliance qualification.
Supplier relationship management & effective team leadership.
Technical knowledge and attentive to details.
