Governor Nyong’o bans demos in Kisumu CBD

Kisumu Governor Prof Anyang’ Nyong’o has banned demos in the Central Business District.

Prof Nyong’o said he will only allow the protests called by Nasa.

The Governor said criminals had taken advantage of the street protests to cause havoc.

“Just as we have a national policy that police must be notified of any planned protests, as a County, we must also be notified to that we sanction. This will help reduce any illegal acts by demonstrators,” he said.
