Our client, a leading facilities management company based in Nairobi is looking to recruit 2 Handymen to provide general maintenance and repairs service. The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years maintenance experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to the maintenance technician and undertake minor building Maintenance tasks.
- Undertake regular tasks within and routine inspections on equipment’s and building fabric in conjunction with the maintenance team.
- Carry out personal risk assessment of maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure all plant room areas are clean and keep in a safe condition.
- Report any issues which may impact on the operation of maintenance plant to designated manager.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Flexible approach to work schedule, to ensure customer satisfaction is guaranteed.
- Ensure maintenance requirement are met in accordance with SLAs.
- Movement of office equipment e.g furniture.
- Ensure daily office and meeting room checks are completed.
- Complete health & safety checklist.
- Undertake small upgrades/projects.
- Liaise with contractors and monitors progress.
- Keep records of all services sheets.
- Provide input into contractor performance management process.
Qualifications:
- Must have a craft certificate or Diploma in Maintenance.
- Must have at least 5 years maintenance experience.
- Administrative management experience.
- Proven knowledge of local HSE standards and regulations.
- Must have proven experience fabric maintenance, building repairs, furniture movement & utility cleaning.
- Must have a valid driving license.
- Self-motivated and team-oriented.
