Our client a dynamic Solar Home Systems is looking to fill the position of a Head of Sales for their offices in Nairobi, Kenya. The successful candidate must have a strong background in setting up B2C sales strategies, natural ability to penetrate new markets and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop & implement the strategy that is focused on high-quality sales & a low default rate.
  • Sales teams run effective sales campaigns, & enable below the line (BTL) marketing activities.
  • Contribute to the CCOs establishment of the commercial strategy.
  • Contribution to the annual business plan for Sales-establishing national sales plan-Preparing.
  • Submit monthly sales forecast & monitor sales performance.
  • Develop new & innovative ways of selling to the target customer.
  • Review regional sales plans, ensuring that they are SMART.
  • Advising on sales development projects lead by Sales & Partnership Development Lead.
  • Proactively raising issues and ideas-Participating in meetings or giving input as requested.
  • Analyze sales & market trends, apply insights for sales strategy & trigger sales growth.
  • Accurate data-driven analysis, insights, and resulting actions documented for CCO.
  • Collaborate with Training Lead to sync and develop sales training and update materials.

Qualification:

  • Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
  • Must have strong sales acumen.
  • Must have at least 10 years of professional experience with a track record of successful sales or marketing.
  • Outstanding leadership skills and at least 5 years of experience in management positions.
  • Proven record of building and managing a geographically dispersed yet cohesive team with a positive team culture.
  • Proven commercial awareness and ability to plan and manage budgets.
  • Excellent skills in sales and market analysis, generating and applying insights for growing sales.
  • Creative approach in lead conversion and customer engagement and drive to make every sale.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Dynamic self-starter with high energy and strong initiative.
  • Willing to travel regularly domestically.
