Our client based in Nanyuki is looking for a Guest Relations Officer to be at the forefront of customer service. He/she will be one of the first hotel workers to greet guests as they arrive. The GRO will be tasked to ensure hotel guests are provided with above-and-beyond service to ensure their experience is worth remembering. The desired candidate MUST have Financial and Computer Literacy. He/she should have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Guest Relations and Reservations. BSc/BA in Hospitality Management is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests enthusiastically and with a smile to create a friendly positive experience.
- Ensure service and guest satisfaction are of the highest standard.
- Provide information about amenities, area and venues and promote services.
- Promote sales by assisting customers and offering suggestions by utilizing product knowledge.
- Anticipate guest needs and build rapport with customers.
- Determine rooms available and assist customers to make reservations.
- Manage POS system and ensure it balances at the end of the working period.
- Listen to the complaints that may arise from the guests.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of proven experience as a Guest Relations Officer.
- BSc/BA in Hospitality Management is preferred.
- Must have Financial and Computer Literacy.
- Must have experience with databases.
- Must have outstanding communication abilities.
- Must be organised and efficient.
- Must be a creative thinker and problem solver.
