Specialist General Physician – Swaziland, Africa (2 Year Contract)

 

Our Client, a large group of private clinics and hospitals across Swaziland, Namibia and Angola is looking to recruit a Specialist General Physician to be based in Swaziland the successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating a broad range of illnesses. He or she Must have at least 5 years’ experience in post specialist training work experience and willing to relocate to Swaziland.

Key Responsibilities
• Diagnosing and treatment of a broad range of illnesses/ailments
• Conducting regular patient check-ups
• Ordering additional medical examinations where necessary
• Referring patients to specialist doctors if they determine necessary
• Prescribing medication and correct dosage for patients
• Advising patients on diet, nutrition, exercise and other lifestyle
• Arranging admission of patients to hospital where necessary
• Keeping detailed, up-to-date records of all patient treatments
• Training and supervising medical students/trainee doctors

Qualifications
• Must have a postgraduate Master of Medicine (MMed) specialising in general medicine
• Must have at least 5 years’ experience as a General Physician specialist
• Experience in all aspects of general medicine
• Experience in non-communicable diseases and infectious diseases will be an added advantage
• Must demonstrate current clinical practice of a high standard
• Must be commitmented to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management
• Must have impeccable communication skills
• Ability to work cooperatively with other staff
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Willingness and commitment to training.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills
