Detectives in Nairobi have arrested one of the two men linked to the blood-chilling assault of a man in Kilimani last week.

The arrest comes a day after the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) shared pictures of the two suspects on social media asking the public for help.

The suspect, James Luambe Odete, was arrested on Tuesday following a tip-off from members of the public, the DCI said in tweet.

The police said they are still looking for the other suspect by the name Innocent Samba.

The two men are believed to have been involved in the brutal assault of one Kelvin Mango Oduor.

The incident was captured in an amateur video which went viral on social media.

So far, four people, including a city politician, have been charged in court over the incident.
